It’s exactly what it sounds like. Born from the mind of Czech concept artist Jan Poope, Audiopill is a tiny sound system that you swallow. The idea stems from medical devices that utilize low-frequency ultrasound to assist the healing process, however, Poope’s experiment doesn’t have the approval of the Italian Ministry of Health. Here’s what the artist has to say about Audiopill:

“[Audiopill will] make you feel like you are standing in the middle of a concert hall with a powerful audio system inside your body. Or like you are standing in a factory workshop full of metal working machines and ramming an impact drill in your stomach. The only difference is there’s absolute silence all around you and you are experiencing the music in perfect privacy and only from the inside.”

Sign me up! After about an hour of digestion, the pill will make its way down to the gastrointestinal tract, causing intense pain in the pelvis region. Oh, and the battery for Audiopill lasts for 10 Hours… And after it’s over, Poope recommends sifting through your poop to make sure the pill has exited your system. Cool.

Researchers at Arizona State University have created the world's first white laser beam, according to a new study published in Nature. More work needs to be done to perfect this technology, but white lasers could serve as a potential alternative light source — both in people's homes and in the screens of their electronics. Lasers are more energy efficient than LEDs, and the ASU researchers claim that their white lasers can cover 70 percent more colors than current standard displays.

The researchers also suggest the technology could be used beyond consumer electronics. They suggest white lasers could be used in Li-Fi, a developing technology that uses multiple colors of light to enable high-speed wireless internet access. Currently, LEDs are being used to develop Li-Fi technology, which could be 10 times faster than current radio-based Wi-Fi. Ning and his colleagues argue that Li-Fi using white lasers could be 10 to 100 times faster than LED-based Li-Fi.

For the past 50 years, lasers have been able to emit every single wavelength of light — except for white. The problem is that typical lasers only beam one specific wavelength of light at a time. To create white, the ASU researchers manufactured three thin semiconductor lasers — each as thick as one-thousandth of a human hair — and lined them up parallel to one another. Each semiconductor emits one of the three primary colors and are then combined together to form white. The entire device can also be tuned to create any color in the visible spectrum.

White lasers won't be showing up in our electronics any time soon, however. For this study, the researchers had to pump electrons into the semiconductors with an additional laser light. The engineers will have to design white lasers to run on battery power before they can be used for commercial applications.

Designer Jeabyun Yeon has created something great. Essentially it turns humans into fish.
“Triton uses a new technology of artificial gill model.
  • It extracts oxygen under water through a filter in the form of fine threads with holes smaller than water molecules.
  •  This is a technology developed by a Korean scientist that allows us to freely breathe under water for a long time.
  •  Using a very small but powerful microcompressor, it compresses oxygen and stores the extracted oxygen in storage tank.
  •  The micro compressor operates through micro battery.
  •  The micro battery is a next-generation technology with a size 30 times smaller than current battery that can quickly charge 1,000 times faster.” – Yanko Design
With the Triton Oxygen Respirator, it might be possible to breathe beneath the surface of the water as if you were a fish. Requiring no bulky tank to keep your lungs pumping properly, this invention of scuba diving equipment is much more ergonomic and organic in design.
The regulator comprises a plastic mouthpiece that requires you to simply bite down. There are two arms that branch out to the sides of the scuba mask that have been developed to function like the efficient gills of a marine creature. The scaly texture conceals small holes in the material where water is sucked into Jeabyun Yeon’s Triton. Chambers inside separate the oxygen and release the liquid so that you can breath comfortably in the ocean.

1. A bag re-sealer.

amazon.com
For those rare times you *don’t* finish a bag of Cheetos in one sitting.

2. A shower wineglass holder.

Because the only thing better than shower beer is shower wine.

3. A safe with a timer to help you avoid temptation.

Or at least control it.

4. Spice containers that automatically measure out exactly how much you need.

Unless you enjoy mistakenly drenching your soup with paprika, of course.

5. A thermometer that works through your smartphone and provides treatment advice.

It even helps you track illnesses going around in your area and records every bit of information for future check-ups.

6. An atomizer for your citrus.

So instead of cutting open and squeezing a lemon or lime to get the juice, you can just stick this tap in.

7. A beach bag with a mesh bottom.

Sand will never invade your precious tote again. (There’s also a more masculineversion, a clutch, and a backpack.)

8. A magnetic wristband to keep screws, nails, and needles close by when you’re working on a project.

It also makes a very bold fashion statement.

9. A cooler that does literally everything.

It’s got wireless speakers, lights, a charger, a bottle opener, multiple storage compartments, and a rechargeable blender. Find it on Kickstarter.

 10. Combo scissors/tape.

Make gift-wrapping a breeze.

11. A highlighter that uploads scanned text to your computer.

Great for taking notes on the go.

12. A cake mold for individual slices.

Life’s too short to choose between chocolate and vanilla.

13. A dustpan that cleans your broom.

So you’re not just shuffling debris around your floor.

14. A microchip-activated pet food bowl.

So Cuddles can’t eat Frankie-Pants’ food again.

15. Sheets that actually tell you how to orient them.

So remaking your bed three frustrated times will become a thing of the past.

16. An LED faucet that makes hot water look red and cold water look blue.

Perfect for young children (and easily entertained adults).

17. A dual showerhead/wireless speaker.

So you can belt to your Frozen-loving heart’s content.

18. An inflatable pillow tie.

So you can sneak naps in between meetings.

19. A freestanding badminton net.

Impromptu Badminton is, incidentally, my DJ name.

20. A hook that makes carrying a ton of bags way easier and more comfortable.

Whether you’re hauling grocery bags or luggage.

21. A portable laundry pod.

Perfect for traveling or small spaces sans laundry rooms, this isn’t large but it’ll take care of your delicates handily.

22. A hands-free book holder.

Because why should e-book enthusiasts have all the perks?

23. A razor pod that protects blades and keeps them sharp.

So you don’t have to fork over half your life savings on new blades (and can save it for this stuff instead).
