This recipe is very simple and proven effective.

If you have stomach gastritis or colon inflammation, problems due to stomach acids and poor digestion, you should definitely try the following folk remedy.

The recipe is very simple and the remedy is proven effective. Apart from its ability to soothe issues with the digestive tract, it is rich in vitamin C, which makes it great for your immunity, and among other things it will also boost your metabolism.

Every morning, squeeze 100-150 ml of cabbage juice!

Drink this juice on an empty stomach in the next 2 hours and don’t consume anything else.
The therapy lasts 40 days and when it’s finished, the results and effects are great. You can proceed with the therapy if needed.

If you don’t have a juicer, you can shred the cabbage finely or ground it, salt it a bit and leave it to stay a while. Afterward, strain the shredded cabbage through double gauze to obtain the juice.
Besides the above-mentioned benefits, cabbage juice may also have a positive effect on your blood picture, reduce your cholesterol level, lower your blood pressure, cleanse your skin and rid you of excess weight.

Cabbage is a vegetable with high biological and low calorie value (24kcal in 100g), and on the average it contains 92,52% water; 1,21%proteins; 0,18% fats and 2,3% dietary fibers.

The most prevalent are vitamin C (42mg in 100g) and beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A), and then follow the minerals: potassium, iron, magnesium, sulfur, and copper. The small amount of sodium and the favorable relationship of calcium and phosphorus guarantee maximal utilization of calcium by the body.

Blemishes and warts are a pretty common skin problem. They develop for any number of reasons and can be unsightly. Fortunately, you can easily get rid of them naturally. Here’s how it’s done.

Warts
Generally, warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus or HPV. There are 100 different types of warts that impact people, and they’re relatively easy to get rid of. All you really need to do is dab the warts with apple cider vinegar and cover with a bandage. Replace the bandage twice a day. I’ve also heard of duct tape working well. Just paste a bit of the tape over the wart and leave on. After 6 days, you can soak it in water for a while and then rub off with a pumice stone.

Skin tags
Skin tags develop because of friction from our clothing usually. Again, apple cider vinegar will do the trick to get rid of them. Just swab some ACV on the skin tag with a cotton ball a few times a day and it’ll eventually fall off. Tea tree oil works too. It should take about 10 days.

Moles
Moles aren’t generally harmful. Of course, it’s important to know the signs of skin cancer. Mostly moles are just unsightly. You can get rid of moles by crushing garlic and applying to the mole, then covering with a bandage for at least four hours a day. Apple cider vinegar can work too but it’s a bit less effective.

Blackheads
Really the key to getting rid of blackheads is to keep your pores clean. You can open up your pores with steam before washing. Apply a natural astringent like apple cider vinegar and then a moisturizer like coconut oil.

Age spots
I’m a big fan of taking on aging with grace, but sometimes age spots can make you feel self conscious. They’re caused by too much exposure to the sun. Fortunately, lemon juice acts like a bleaching agent for the skin, so applying to the skin a few times a day will lighten up dark spots. Be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen!

There are also plant hormones and valuable essential oils that give to celery specific smell. This oil positively acts on the nervous system and calms.

It is interesting that the celery is rich in sodium, which is different from salt that we normally use in the kitchen. Specifically, the kitchen salt consist insoluble inorganic compounds that lead to the development of varicose veins, artery damage and other diseases. On the other hand, the sodium from celery is soluble in water, and then the body can better use and maintain the moisturizing cells.

Compounds called phthalide help to relax the muscles around the blood vessels, expanding them and allow to easier blood flow. Phthalide reduce the level of stress hormones, which, among other things, cause constriction of blood vessels. Amazingly, celery doesn’t lower the low pressure.

Taking in consideration it is one of the deadliest diseases. Scientists constantly try to find a cure and finally put an end to cancer. This herb is one of those cures and it can kill up to 98% of cancer cells in just 16 hours.

Namely, according to the researches published in “Life Science”, artemisinin, a “Sweet wormwood” or “Artemisia Annua” derivative, was used in Chinese medicine and it can kill 98% of lung cancer cells in less than 16 hours.

The herb used by itself reduces lung cancer cells up to 28%, but in combination with iron, “Artemisia Annua” successfully and completely “erases” cancer, and in the experiment this herb had no impact on healthy lung cells.

Artemisinin in past was used as a powerful antimalarial remedy, but now it is proven that this cure is also effective in the fight against cancer.

When scientists added iron while conducting the study, which later attached to lung tissue, especially to cancer infected cells, artemisinine selectively attacked “bad” cells, and left “good” cells untouched.

“In general, our results show that artemisinin stops ‘E2F1′ transcription factor and intervenes in destruction of lung cancer cells, meaning it presents a transcription way according to which artemisinin controls reproductive cancer cell growth”, was stated in the conclusion of the researches conducted in the cancer laboratory at the University of California.

Iron deposits in cancer cells with special receptors which help in cell division. Normal cells also have these receptors, but cancer cells can be targeted by the combination of iron and artemisinin.
There are numerous experiments conducted so far and they all prove that in combination with iron, artemisinin can effectively destroy cancer, and this extract was used in China for thousands of years, as a cure for malaria.

Malaria parasite can not survive in the presence of artemisinine, because it is rich in iron, and bio-engineers Henry Lai and Narendra Singh from the University of Washington were the first scientists to discover this.

Their research proved that cancer cells undergo an apoptosis, or self-destruction, and until this moment it was difficult to get the extract for more acceptable prices, but people show more and more interest in this herb, so the prices could get lower.

French medicine producer, “Sanofi”, announced that they expect production of 50 to 60 tons artemisinin every year, hoping that it will satisfy the needs of the world market.

Menstruation has a variety of symptoms that sometimes vary in intensity. Some women routinely have difficult periods, others are a little easier to cope with. Sometimes it varies from month to month. I think it’s pretty much universal that menstruation is no fun either way.
Fortunately, there’s an excellent tea that helps relieve the symptoms of menstruation so you can get on with your life. Here’s how it’s done:
You will need:
  • 6 dried rosebuds
  • Water
Pretty easy, right? All you do is boil a mugs worth of water and pour over the rose buds. Allow to steep for a few minutes, then strain the rosebuds out of the tea. Add a teaspoon of honey, stir well, and drink.

With any luck, your harsh menstruation symptoms will subside, or at least be more manageable.

I lived in Colorado for years and years and never got bitten by a mosquito once. It was dry, high, and we didn’t have to deal with them. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest, that has changed big time. I’m getting eaten alive out here! Fortunately I stumbled upon the world’s best, and eco-friendly, mosquito repellent:

Coffee grounds.

That’s right, old dried up coffee grounds work as an effective repellent for mosquitoes, according to the EPA. Mosquitoes and other insects hate the way used coffee grounds smell. So what do you do to keep them away?
  1. Collect your old coffee grounds and put them on a plate covered with foil. Place in a dry, dark spot until completely dry.
  2. Once dry, place the plate of grounds on a flat surface, like a picnic table, out in the open. Make sure your kids and pets can’t get to it.
  3. Now burn the grounds with a match until they start to smoke.
  4. The smoke will repel mosquitoes!
Pretty simple, effective tip, isn’t it? You can also use grounds to keep bugs away. Simply sprinkle coffee grounds around the outside of your house to keep bugs from coming inside.

When it comes to my health, I take as many precautions as I can and do right in whatever way I can. I eat healthy food, I make sure to stay active, but sometimes there are little things I like to try to maintain good health, and after a month of drinking apple cider vinegar and honey each morning, I can report that it’s totally worth it.
Together, apple cider vinegar and honey are a powerful health booster. According to some, it can be used to relieve joint pain, inflammation, and chronic sore throat, but those aren’t things that I can attest to personally. What I can say is that there are numerous benefits that I experienced from drinking honey and apple cider vinegar first thing every morning.
  • My intense heart burn was seriously relieved.
  • My frequent stomach ailments, constipation, and diarrhea were relived.
  • I lost weight.
  • I had more energy through the day.
  • I no longer had bad breath in the morning (kind of an unexpected result)
If you’d like to try what I did out for yourself, here’s how I did it.
  1. First thing upon waking in the morning, mix one cup of hot water, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (or a tablespoon if you can handle the flavor) and one teaspoon of raw organic unfiltered honey.
  2. Mix well and allow to steep.
  3. After a few minutes, drink. Don’t slam it. Sip it like you would a tea.
  4. After drinking, drink 24 ounces of water slowly over the course of a half hour.
  5. After you’ve drank the water, have breakfast and carry on like normal.
Know that if you do this, the vinegar can react with diuretics, laxatives, and diabetes and heart medicines, so consult your doctor if you suffer any major ailments.

  • 5 organic lemons
  • 5-6 sprigs of parsley
  • 3 liters of water
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
Instructions:
  1. chop the lemons and parsley and boil over low heat in the water for 2 hours.
  2. Turn the heat off and let it stand for an hour.
  3. Remove all the ingredients and chop thoroughly.
  4. Cook again on low heat for another 3 hours.

After that, you should have about one and a half liters of syrup. Drink it each morning in a small shot glass. There should be enough for at least 15 days. Discard after 20.

Experts say kale is safest to consume when cooked. Photo courtesy of Shutterstock

“Cooking is like love; it should be entered into with abandon or not at all,” said Harriet Van Horne, the 20th century American journalist, when she so eloquently highlighted the importance of  taking time to prepare a meal. In an age where Americans spend an increasingly smaller amount of time preparing their food, this beautiful art is quickly falling out of fashion. What many do not realize, however, is that how you cook a dish doesn’t only enhance its flavor, it might just save your health. Here’s a rundown on foods where preparation may be the difference between a full belly and a trip to the ER.

1.Chia Seeds- Must Be Soaked Before Consumption

In case you haven’t heard, Chia seeds are the newest superfood, and deservingly so. According to Medical Daily, a simple 2-teaspoon serving packs only 117 calories, but also delivers an impressive 4 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber, and an impressive amount of omega-3s for a healthy heart. With all these health benefits, it would seem crazy not to squeeze these little guys into your diet somehow. Unfortunately, what some don’t realize is, when it comes to chia seeds, there is a right and a seriously wrong way to eat them.
The seeds are able to absorb 27 times their dry weight in water. As reported by Time, when this happens the seeds congeal into a thickened gel-like mass, which can become lodged in the consumer’s esophagus. Dr. Rebecca Rawl, a gastroenterologist who has worked with a patient suffering from such a problem explains that although it was the first time she’s ever encountered such a case, she feels it won’t be the last time. “The popularity of chia seeds is growing, and I think this will come up more frequently,” Rawl told Time.
The proper way to eat chia seeds is to allow them to expand fully in liquid before eating or drinking them. If this is done correctly, then eating these super-seeds shouldn’t be any problem.

2. Kale- Best Eaten Cooked And In Moderation

Although it may sound like the secret love child of Katniss and Gale from The Hunger Games (if only), kale is actually a super healthy food from the same family as broccoli and Brussels sprouts. When steamed, the vegetable can provide consumers with serious cholesterol-lowering benefits. As reported by Medical Daily, kale, like its other cruciferous cousins, is packed with antioxidants, cardiovascular supports, anti-inflammatory, and cancer-fighting benefits. That is when it's consumed in moderation.
Jennifer Berman, a journalist for The New York Times, wrote earlier this year of how daily diets of raw kale health shakes lead her to develop hypothyroidism. Also known as an underactive thyroid, this is a condition where the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough of certain hormones, which can result in a slowed metabolism, joint pain, infertility, and heart disease. Although the condition is usually found in women aged 60 and older, the goitrogenic properties of kale, which contribute to the enlarged thyroid, can caused the condition in otherwise healthy young women.
Cooking Kale won’t completely get rid of these goitrogenic properties, but it will help to reduce them. Deirdre Orceyre, a naturopathic physician at the Center for Integrative Medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center, told The Washington Post that on top of containing the sometimes thyroid-suppressing compound, uncooked kale can also “be hard on the digestive system,” Orceyre recommends not eating the vegetable in its raw form more than once or twice a week, but added that you can eat cooked kale as much as you'd like.
Unfortunately, there is a minor downside to this only eating cooked kale. “Some vitamins in dark leafy greens are not heat-resistant and can become damaged,” explained Marissa Puleo, a licensed registered dietician, to Medical Daily. Rather than worrying how you prepare your kale, Puleo offered a rule of thumb that rings true for all foods: “Eating any item in excessive amount just isn’t suggested because you can get deficiencies from other vitamins you may ignore. I would say to not so much focus on any one diet or any one fad. Just eat in general a healthy, balanced diet. Diets tend to leave out important nutrients and could be doing the body more harm than good."

3. Red Kidney Beans- Must Be Soaked Before Preparing

Raw-food-ism is slowly gaining popularity around the world. According Medical News Today, the raw food diet is built around the idea that consuming mainly uncooked foods will help you to achieve significant weight loss and enhance the body’s ability to prevent and fight disease. This is because essential enzymes in food are destroyed in hot temperatures. While there is scientific data supporting the claims of raw-foodists, a meal consisting of raw red kidney beans may be the last meal an individual will ever have.
If you come across raw red kidney beans for sale at an organic shop, please prepare them correctly before consumption. Naturally, red kidney beans contain toxins called lectins. This chemical inhibits the stomach cells' ability to self-repair following natural stresses. On a microbiological level, this results in the death of the cells, but to those who consume the raw bean, it feels similar to an intense stomach ache. As little as five raw beans can cause nausea and vomiting.
In order to be safe for consumption, these beans must first be soaked in water for at least five hours, Cooking Light reported.

4. Rhubarb- Must Remove Leaves Before Cooking

If you have any decent taste in dessert, you’ll know that nothing beats a good strawberry rhubarb pie. However, if you’re looking to bake one from ingredients in your own garden, it’s important you learn how to properly prepare the rhubarb for cooking. There’s a reason rhubarb in the supermarkets comes leafless. The leaves are poisonous. According to Medline Plus, they contain anthraquinone glycosides and oxalic acid. While Cooking Light reports that it would take an abnormally large amount of rhubarb leaves to kill a person (a 140-pound person would have to consume 10 pounds of leaves), even in small amounts the leaves can make a person ill. Symptoms of rhubarb stalk poisoning include: difficulty breathing, burning in the mouth, diarrhea, eye pain, seizures, and vomiting.
You must remove rhubard leaves before preparing the vegatable in your dish.

5. Ackee- Must Wait Until Fruit Is Fully Ripe

The ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica, and anyone who has eaten Jamaican cuisine is bound to be familiar with the famous Ackee and Saltfish. The unripened ackee fruit is known for a much more sinister reason: being one of the most deadly food in the world. Unripe fruit contains hypoglycin and consumption of unripe fruit causes the rightly named Jamaican Vomiting Sickness.  JVS, also known as toxic hypoglycemic syndrome, is associated with severe disturbances in the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Symptoms of this illness are abdominal pain, depleting of hepatic glycogen, hypoglycemia, aciduria, coma, and, unfortunately, in the most severe cases, death.
When eating ackee, one must wait until the fruit’s protective pods turn red and open naturally, Time reported. Once open, the only edible section is the yellow arilli. This is surrounded by signature black seeds, which are always toxic, regardless of the fruit’s ripeness.

Frequent scalp itchiness should not be neglected especially when it affects your normal routine. Scalp itching can be signs of different hair and scalp problems such as dandruff, dry scalp, sebaceous cysts, fungus and viral infection. It can also signal poor hair care, unhealthy diet and excessive anxiety due to stress.

Do not worry. You may try these common kitchen ingredients in treating this nasty itchy scalp even at the comforts of your home.

1. Baking Soda
This home kitchen ingredient is beneficial in relieving itchy scalp. It gets rid of the itch by exfoliating the scalp and controlling dandruff caused by overactive fungi.

The remedy: Prepare a baking soda paste by mixing baking soda and water. Apply it directly on the scalp. For best results, rub some olive oil on your scalp prior to application of the mixture. Allow it to soak into your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse well with water.

2. Banana

Banana is also a natural remedy to treat itchy scalp. Apart from treating itchy scalp, banana also provides conditioning to your hair. Banana’s nourishing and moisturizing properties can diminish flakes, dandruff and inflammation.

The remedy: Mash two bananas and mix them together with one ripe avocado. Apply this mixture to your scalp as well as to your hair if you want. Leave it for half an hour and then rinse thoroughly.

3. Lemon Juice

It helps in treating an itchy and dry scalp because of its antiseptic properties. It is useful when dealing with dandruff.

The remedy: Apply fresh lemon juice thoroughly on the scalp. Leave it for five minutes and shampoo your hair. If you do not have dandruff, dilute the lemon juice in water. Alternately, mix lemon juice with yogurt. Apply it on your scalp for few minutes before washing your hair with mild shampoo. Repeat at least daily until itchiness and dryness fade.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

This renowned kitchen condiment has powerful anti-inflammation properties that help in killing the yeast and virus that causes itchy scalp. Likewise, apple cider vinegar balances the pH levels of the scalp, relieving itchiness and dryness.

The remedy: Rinse your hair and scalp with water. Allow it to dry. Mix equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water and pour the mixture into spray bottle. Apply the mixture directly onto your scalp with the use of cotton balls. Spray it on your scalp. After application, leave it for few minutes then shampoo your hair and rinse.  Do this once or twice a week.

5. Aloe Vera

This plant has moisturizing properties that relieves too much dryness and itching.

The remedy: Using your fingers spread some fresh Aloe Vera gel onto your scalp. Allow it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes then wash your hair with mild shampoo. Rinse well.

6. Coconut oil

The tree of life has proven its many uses and benefits. Using its oil, it creates a barrier that aids in keeping the skin moisturized. Hence, it is an effective way to treat itchy scalp.

The remedy: Rub a little coconut oil on the scalp after washing your hair. Leave it there for at least half an hour. Wash it out with a perfume-free shampoo.  Do this remedy three times a week.
Another option is to gently heat coconut oil and let it melt. Add the melted coconut oil to your shampoo before washing your hair.

7. Sesame Seed Oil

This natural oil nourishes, heals and lubricates, making it an effective treatment for dry scalp and alleviate your scalp from itchiness.

The remedy: Heat some sesame oil to warm it slightly. Massage your scalp with warm oil before going to bed. For best results, massage the scalp with your fingertips for at least 10 minutes. Wrap your head with hot towel and leave it for 10 minutes before sleeping. When the oil remains on the scalp all night, it delivers moisture to your hair. As soon as you wake up the next day, shampoo and rinse your scalp and hair thoroughly. Continue doing this treatment if necessary.

8. Tea tree oil

This oil treats itchy scalp for it possesses natural antifungal, anti-inflammation and antibacterial properties.

The remedy: Add 10 to 20 drops of tea tree oil to one-half cup of baby shampoo and use it daily until your scalp improves. You can opt to dilute two to three drops of tea tree oil in one tablespoon of vegetable oil and massage the mixture on the scalp.  With regular use, this remedy will heal a dry, itchy scalp within a week or two.

Three Ingredients That Can Grow Your Hair Back in 10 Days
Are you worried about hair loss and tired of searching for a treatment? I know from experience, hair loss can be a blow to your confidence.
Don’t worry. There are many natural and medical treatments. Read about the causes, treatments, a recipe for homemade Rogaine, and my personal experiences below.

Causes of Hair Loss
There are many causes, ranging from vitamin deficiencies to hormone changes. Stress, lack of sleep, smoking, thyroid problems, and menopause are all causes. Certain hair products and hair styles, such as pulling hair back too tightly, can also lead to hair loss. There is no cure for menopause or old age (though there are still a few medical ways you can slow down the hair loss that comes with them). But if anything else is causing your thinning locks, therein lies the cure.

Natural Treatments for Hair Loss
Sleep/Stress
If you are experiencing hair loss, the very first thing you should do is examine your lifestyle. Have your sleep or stress levels suddenly changed? If so, that may be the root of your problem.

Try to readjust your schedule. If it’s difficult to unwind after work or before going to bed, try meditation. Carve out 10 minutes that are absolutely to yourself. Set your phone to silent and put it in a different room. Then, with the door closed to any distractions, sit down comfortably, cross-legged if you can. Close your eyes and clear your mind, focusing in on your breath is it flows in and out of your lungs. If you are a visual person, imagine that air is a color, and that you can see it filling up and emptying out of your body. If any other thoughts—be they from your personal life, your work life, or something else—start to cross your mind, consciously let them go and return your thoughts to your breathing.

Foods that Prevent Hair Loss
If you are getting enough sleep and are not experiencing stress, consider your diet. Are you getting all of your nutrients?

Iron, protein, and omega-3 deficiencies have all been linked to hair loss. On top of that, vitamins and minerals are necessary for healthy hair follicles and scalp, both of which will keep you hair healthy and decrease hair breakage.

General Diet Tips for Healthy Hair
•Web MD recommends eating six to 10 servings of vegetables daily.

•Eat two to four servings of fruit daily.

•Get enough protein—either two to three servings of meat a day or four to five servings of dairy and beans (keep in mind that a serving meat is three ounces, no larger than the size of your cell phone).

•Eat foods rich in omega-3, such as eggs, nuts, seeds, and fish.

•Mix it up! Don’t eat the same foods every day. A variety will ensure that you get all of the vitamins and minerals that you need.

•Add a multivitamin to your daily routine. Eat it with food to increase absorption.

Foods for Healthy Hair
Need ideas for specific foods? All of the foods below have been recommended for hair. If you eat these regularly, you will natural treat any deficiencies that may be causing your hair loss.

•Salmon, sardines, trout, and mackerel: All of these fish will provide protein, vitamin D, and omega-3. Your body cannot create the fatty acids found in omega-3 on its own, and those fatty acids make up 3% of your hair shaft and are also found in the skin on your scalp, so you need to eat them somewhere!

•Avocado, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts: These foods are also rich in omega-3, and don’t have the risk of mercury inherent in some of the bigger fish. These fruits and nuts are boons to vegetarians, because they need omega-3 fatty acids for their hair as well. All of these foods also have zinc, the lack of which can lead to hair loss.

•Oysters: Oysters also are rich in zinc, iron, and protein. Really, really rich—just six oysters have 220% of your Daily Value of zinc, 33% of your Daily Value of iron, and eight grams of protein.
Sweet potatoes and carrots: These vegetables contain vitamin A, which is crucial for the health of your scalp. Deficiencies in vitamin A can even lead to dandruff.

•Eggs: Eggs have protein, zinc, selenium, sulfur, and iron. Since iron is one of the most common deficiencies that lead to hair loss in premenopausal women (who lose some every month with their menstrual cycle), the importance of these minerals cannot be overstated.

•Spinach and other leafy greens: In addition to other minerals, these vegetables are important for their iron. They are an excellent source of iron for vegans, and have less cholesterol than animal-based sources.

Effect of Smoking and Drug Use on Hair Loss
Smoking is related to hair loss and baldness, according to research by the US National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health. Other drugs have a similar correlation. If you are taking prescription medicine, consult your doctor or check the side effects to see if that could be a cause of your hair loss.

Medical Treatments for Hair Loss
If the natural treatments above do not work, it is time to consult a doctor. Hair loss can be a side effect of a serious medical condition such as thyroid problems or diabetes. Doctors will also run a blood test to definitively rule out any deficiencies.

If your hair loss is not caused by lifestyle, diet, or disease, then it is due to changes in your hormones related to aging. There are two medicines that can help treat this type of hair loss.
Rogaine (minoxidil). Rogaine is an over-the-counter medication that is applied to the scalp. It works best on hair that has just begun to thin. According to Web MD, “[more] than 50% of users claim that it can thicken hair and slow hair loss.” Once you begin using Rogaine, you must continue to use it indefinitely in order to maintain its effects. If you go this route, Costco sells minoxidil at a significantly lower price than most pharmacies.

Propecia (finasteride). Propecia is a pill that can treat more developed hair loss in men. It works by blocking the hormones that cause hair loss from reaching the skin. Consult your doctor before taking Propecia.
