It’s exactly what it sounds like. Born from the mind of Czech concept artist Jan Poope, Audiopill is a tiny sound system that you swallow. The idea stems from medical devices that utilize low-frequency ultrasound to assist the healing process, however, Poope’s experiment doesn’t have the approval of the Italian Ministry of Health. Here’s what the artist has to say about Audiopill:

“[Audiopill will] make you feel like you are standing in the middle of a concert hall with a powerful audio system inside your body. Or like you are standing in a factory workshop full of metal working machines and ramming an impact drill in your stomach. The only difference is there’s absolute silence all around you and you are experiencing the music in perfect privacy and only from the inside.”

Sign me up! After about an hour of digestion, the pill will make its way down to the gastrointestinal tract, causing intense pain in the pelvis region. Oh, and the battery for Audiopill lasts for 10 Hours… And after it’s over, Poope recommends sifting through your poop to make sure the pill has exited your system. Cool.

Pontiff scolds well-wisher for being "selfish" after he is pulled down onto a child in a wheelchair

Calm, smiling and obliging, "serene" is among the adjectives most frequently deployed when describing Pope Francis.
It seems, however, that even the pontiff has his limits.
Francis, who is on a five-day trip to Mexico, was greeting fans at a stadium in the western city of Morella on Tuesday when he finally lost his cool with some overzealous well-wishers.
Following a colourful encounter with young dancers and singers, the pope went over to greet the faithful, at which point two arms reached out to grab him.
The person, who is not seen in the video footage, did not let go, even after the pope lost his balance and fell onto a child in a wheelchair.
After aides and security men stopped the pope from falling to the ground, a flash of anger crossed his face as he stood upright.

Staring at the person, he raised his voice and said twice in Spanish: "Don't be selfish!"

Francis then took a couple of steps back as appeals came over the public address system asking the crowd not to clump together.

The Argentinian Pope has tried to get closer to the public, opting to use open-top cars instead a bullet-proof Popemobile used by his predecessors – a measure introduced after the attempted assassination of John Paul II in St Peter's Square in 1981.

Pope Francis falls forward after being grabbed by a member of the public in Mexico (Pool footage)

"It's true that anything could happen, but let's face it, at my age I don't have much to lose," he said two years ago.

Francis wraps up his trip to Mexico on Wednesday with some of his most anticipated events: a visit in a Ciudad Juarez prison just days after a riot in another lockup killed 49 inmates and a stop at the Texas border when immigration is a hot issue for the US presidential campaign.

Trump said in an interview with Fox that he did not think the pope understood the danger to the US of an open border with Mexico. "I think Mexico got him to do it because they want to keep the border just the way it is. They're making a fortune, and we're losing," he said.

On Tuesday, Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi responded, saying: "The pope always talks about migration problems all around the world, of the duties we have to solve these problems in a humane manner, of hosting those who come from other countries in search of a life of dignity and peace."

Researchers at Arizona State University have created the world's first white laser beam, according to a new study published in Nature. More work needs to be done to perfect this technology, but white lasers could serve as a potential alternative light source — both in people's homes and in the screens of their electronics. Lasers are more energy efficient than LEDs, and the ASU researchers claim that their white lasers can cover 70 percent more colors than current standard displays.

The researchers also suggest the technology could be used beyond consumer electronics. They suggest white lasers could be used in Li-Fi, a developing technology that uses multiple colors of light to enable high-speed wireless internet access. Currently, LEDs are being used to develop Li-Fi technology, which could be 10 times faster than current radio-based Wi-Fi. Ning and his colleagues argue that Li-Fi using white lasers could be 10 to 100 times faster than LED-based Li-Fi.

For the past 50 years, lasers have been able to emit every single wavelength of light — except for white. The problem is that typical lasers only beam one specific wavelength of light at a time. To create white, the ASU researchers manufactured three thin semiconductor lasers — each as thick as one-thousandth of a human hair — and lined them up parallel to one another. Each semiconductor emits one of the three primary colors and are then combined together to form white. The entire device can also be tuned to create any color in the visible spectrum.

White lasers won't be showing up in our electronics any time soon, however. For this study, the researchers had to pump electrons into the semiconductors with an additional laser light. The engineers will have to design white lasers to run on battery power before they can be used for commercial applications.

This image shows mixed emission color from the semiconductor lasers in the colors of red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, and white. (ASU/Nature Nanotechnology)

Their latest piece, entitled 'Angel', has just been installed in China's capital, reported People's Daily Online.

Life-like: The 'Angel' installation by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu has shocked art lovers in Beijing with its realism

The disturbing sculpture depicts an old woman lying tangled on the ground.
To illustrate her fall from grace, the woman also sports featherless wings on her back.
The artists created the piece using silica gel, fiberglass, stainless steel and woven mesh.
However, these materials are pretty tame for the pair.
They have been known to use human fat tissue, live animals and baby cadavers in order to challenge perceptions about death and the human condition.
Thought provoking: Yuan and Yu use their art to challenge perceptions about death and the human condition
Blurred lines: Passersby stare at latest installation which shows the tension between surrealism and realism

The artists say that their latest installation is designed to illustrate the tension and changes between surrealism and realism
In a statement on their website, they explained: 'The angel, a transcendent being, has become powerless, unable to carry out God's will, or to help those who believe in its existence.'

Ginger is something that we have in our kitchen but what we don’t know is that how beneficial it is for the health as well as a product to aid in making mood and bringing out the taste. This article would deal with the health benefits and the uses of ginger and why consumption of Ginger is essential for a healthy life.

Health Benefits of Ginger

Some of the ginger’s health benefits are given below.
  1. If you are ever feeling nauseous Ginger can help you to relief in this process.
  2. It acts as an effective pain killer, the process is that you have to apply on the affected area or drink the juice and you would start feeling better.
  3. Pregnant women should make it a habit of taking it in the morning to avoid morning sickness.
  4. If you don’t feel hungry eat raw garlic thirty minutes before the meal and you would start feeling hungry during this time.
  5. Eating raw ginger will help easing stomach cramps and flatulence.
  6. Drinking Ginger tea in the morning would guard you against bloating and gas.
  7. Women suffering from menstrual pain and cramps should drink Ginger tea at the start of their cycle, it would help reduce the cramps and relieve the mood as well
  8. Garlic is a renowned remedy for headaches, be it from migraines or by sinus, the remedy is applying the garlic paste on the forehead and using its smell, like an aroma therapy. The paste applied would calm down the arteries relieving the stress which causes pain and the aroma would help too.
  9. Ginger is good for the immune system because it contains antihistamines and antibacterial both of them help make the body stronger from the inside.

  13. The manufacturing aspect of ginger is that it is used as a fragrance in cosmetics and soaps.
  14. Ginger helps slow the clotting, process which is responsible for causing strokes and heart diseases.
However despite all the benefits you shouldn’t take ginger if you have a bleeding problem or are taking blood thinning medications such as Aspirin. Ginger is generally considered a safe herb but to some it may have side effects such as heart burn or stomach irritation. A few women observed extra Bleeding during their menstrual cycles after the consumption of Ginger. Taking ginger in excess might worsen heart conditions for some and it is strictly prohibited for those on aspirin. Usage of Ginger during pregnancy to tackle morning sickness is also controversial but no research has been conclusive enough.

Ginger can also interact with the medications you take. The basic property of Ginger is to keep your blood sugar in check and when you are taking a tablet for it, the combination can be problematic because you could experience low blood sugar occasionally.

Similarly it helps keep the blood pressure in check so when you take your regular dose of medication make sure to keep your ginger intake in control as it can react with the medication and you may feel low blood pressure or heart palpitations. It is alright if you keep the intake in check because after all excess of everything is bad be it something as healthy as ginger.

1. Eating two bananas can give you enough energy for a 90-minute workout.

2. Bananas can fight against depression.

This is because bananas contain a protein called tryptophan, which converts to serotonin. Serotonin helps you relax and can make you feel better too.

3. Bananas contain Vitamin B6, which regulate blood glucose levels. This vitamin will also put you in a better mood!

4. The Vitamin B6 in bananas will also help fight nerves and stress, related to anything from your work life to your personal life.

5. Bananas can help battle high blood pressure and prevent strokes!

The fruit is high in potassium and low in sodium, which is the perfect combination to fight against both ailments.

6. To that effect, bananas can soothe heartburn because of the natural antacid effect it has on the body.

7. Bananas are high in fiber. This can help regulate bowel movements without resorting to laxatives.

8. Having trouble passing your exams? Try eating a banana! The potassium in the fruit will help you stay focused and alert.

9. The inside of banana peels can soothe mosquito bites. So next time the pesky insect bites you, reach for a banana instead of an ointment.

10. As if bananas couldn't be more magical, they can also help cure hangovers. 'Nuff said!

A few months ago, I was drinking a Noah's Mill whiskey with my good buddy Brian Balfour and talking about life.
During the conversation we got on the topic of books that changed our lives.
I want to share them with you.

I judge a book's success if a year later I am still using at least one thing from the book.
My takeaways are what I still remember from the books; you may get even more out of these:

"7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey
  • Begin with the end in mind.
  • Relationships are like a bank account; you make deposits and withdrawals.
  • Sharpen the saw, keep learning and improving your brain.
"Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office" by Lois Frankel
  • Don't let men shorten your name at the office.
  • Don't mother people at the office or you'll be treated like a mother.
"Paradox of Choice" by Barry Schwartz
  • At restaurants, close the menu after you find the one dish that you like.
  • Choices can be evil. Being satisfied with things will make you so much happier than always going for the maximum.
"Influence" by Robert Cialdini
  • People can be influenced in their behaviors by many different tactics.
"Ultimate Sales Machine" by Chet Holmes
  • This book has so many frigging tips I can't even start. Get it.
"The Power of Full Engagement" by Jim Loehr
  • It's not about how much time you have in your day but how you allocate you energy.
  • You need to allocate time for yourself to recharge.
  • Spend time with people that give you more energy.
"Your Brain at Work" by David Rock
  • Different ways to organize and prioritize your day to maximize productivity.
"Sex at Dawn" by Christopher Ryan
  • Jealousy is a societal creation and great ways to be aware of why it happens.
"Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield
  • Nothing is coincidence.
  • Fate is what you make of it, i.e., go create your own luck.
"Purple Cow" by Seth Godin
  • Only the unique get remembered.
"Permission Marketing" by Seth Godin
  • No one wants your annoying marketing. Get their permission and deliver more than what they expect.
"Setting the Table" by Danny Meyer
  • Create an experience that is like nothing else.
  • Be authentic to yourself.
  • Treating the customers exceptionally is the differentiator in business.
"The Score Will Take Care of Itself" by Bill Walsh
  • Focus on doing the right processes, and the outcome will take care of itself.
  • Keep your lockers/desks clean and it'll reflect in other parts of your life.
"Mindless Eating" by Brian Wansink
  • Great hacks on ways to reduce calories instead of just trying new diet fads.
  • Hide the food you don't want to eat.
  • Put out the portions of food you want instead of just eating from the bag.
  • Using science/data to make decisions/impacts on our eating habits instead of opinions.
"The Way of the Superior Man" by David Deida
  • Be conscious/present when you are interacting in life.
  • Spend time with the people that are honest and make your life better.
"Women who Love Too Much" by Robin Norwood
  • Love yourself first and you can be loved.
"The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand
  • Healthy selfishness is a great thing.
These books reflect a full life, not just business.

#1 How Smart Are They?

Cats’ brains are pretty similar to a human brain, with scientists estimating they’re about 90% alike. Cool, right?

#2 How Do They Smell?

Obviously, they’ve got a nose but – much like horses – they also have a special scent organ in their little mouths called a vomeronasal organ, which is why cats often open their mouths when they smell something they like; they’re really savouring it.

#3 What's That Extra Little Thumb Actually For?

Cats have a sixth “finger” on the inside of their wrists that acts as an anti-skidding device. These little brakes are called a carpal pad.

#4 How High Can They Jump?

Cats can jump five times their own height. We could totally do that too; we just don’t want to.

#5 Can They Drink from the Sea?

They totally could if they wanted to. Cats’ kidneys are so cool, that they can actually filter out salt, allowing them to drink all of that delicious salt water. No wonder pirates loved them.

#6 How Many Sounds Can They Make?

Cats can make over one hundred different vocal sounds, whereas dogs can only make around ten. Yeah, take that dogs.

#7 Do They Have Fingerprints?

Well no, but the patterns on a cat’s nose are as identifiable as a human fingerprint. You know, just in case there are any wannabe feline detectives out there, or something.

#8 Why Do They Purr?

Well, scientists don’t actually know – but they do know that cats purr at exactly the same frequency as a diesel engine.

#9 How Do They Move Their Ears like That?

Cats’ ears are so important they have 32 muscles to control them and can rotate them 180 degrees. Humans only have six to control theirs. Shame.

#10 Why Do They Always Land on Their Feet?

Cats always land on their feet because of the Labyrinthine righting reflex. Their little cute ears sense the angle and acceleration they’re falling at, and they then twist their muscles to level their body and ensure they always land in the perfect position. Show-offs.

#11 What Is a Hairball?

A hairball is, you guessed it, an undigested ball of hair that ends up in the cat’s stomach thanks to its extreme grooming regime and are coughed out. Another name for a cat’s hairball is “bezoar”, which, to be honest, makes it sound much cooler.

#12 How Much Time Do They Spend Grooming?

Well, about half of a cat’s time awake is spent grooming themselves. Looking that cute doesn’t come easy.

#13 How Much Do They Sleep?

Cats are only awake for a third of the day – which means a 7-year-old cat’s only actually been awake for, like, 27 months.

#14 How Do They Get through Such Tiny Gaps?

Cats have no collarbone, which means they can fit through any gap that’s big enough for their head to squeeze through.
